What’s sad is the film has an all star cast, including Dwayne Johnson as The Rock, er, Roadblock, Jonathony Pryce as the President of the United States, Byung-hun Lee as the sexy Storm Shadow, D.J. It’s easy to miss them without the commentary as the music and action tend to just carry you away into hypnosis land. Thankfully, you have Basicc to keep you awake as he shows you the film’s failures over and over again. The only interesting part of the film is seeing Jaye, played by Adrianne Palicki, jogging in a pornographic outfit, other than that it’ll bore you to tears. The film begins with The Rock shooting up North Korea and there’s more attacks on North Korea throughout which seem quite political in nature to Basicc.

The film appears to be an extended Public Relations campaign for joining the US Marine Corp, whether you are a man or woman. In GI Joe: Retaliation, it seems the retaliation is against the audience for daring to come to the theater again. Basicc doesn’t shut up for a moment as he tears up this thoughtless remake of the original GI Joe: Rise of Cobra which at least had a little bit of charm and plot, at least by comparison.
